I can’t even begin to describe the magic that filled the air at The Found Cottage for our Christmas Open House! We just reopened after closing for a few days to transform the entire store from a cozy fall retreat into a full-blown Christmas wonderland, and it turned out more magical than I could have dreamed.
The energy on opening day was just incredible—people were lined up outside the door an hour before we opened, and it made my heart so full to see everyone just as excited as we were. From the happy Christmas decor that came out from the warehouse to the twinkling lights filling every corner, it truly felt like stepping into a holiday storybook. What I think I love the most, though, is the behind-the-scenes joy that made it all come together—our amazing staff laughing and smiling in the wee hours as we put on the finishing touches, and our wonderful vendors, many of whom we don’t get to spend enough time with, all under one roof pouring their hearts into their spaces to make the store feel as magical as possible.
Walking through the store and seeing all of these talented creatives working so hard to transform their areas into the most enchanting displays—it was a reminder of why I love what I do so much. The cozy corners filled with handmade garlands, the vintage ornaments hanging from every possible branch, and the lovely layers of holiday inspiration filling each vignette—it was just a dream. I wanted to share a few photos of how it turned out because I know so many of you couldn’t make it here in person. Each detail was crafted with love, and it’s amazing how much joy a little bit of twinkle and evergreen can bring.
